Waiver Policy for Involuntary Change

If your customer has been affected by any of the below mentioned situations:

· Flight disruptions (within 72hrs of flight departure)

· Flight cancellations (beyond 72hrs of flight departure)

· Individual booking cancellations due to reduction of capacity as per Government Regulations/Mandates

Rebooking is permitted in any RBD within the same cabin and within the specified region with no additional collection.

Rebooking is permitted for any date within the ticket validity.

Rebooking on OAL is only permitted when indicated in the Country Specific Waivers

It is important that you update correct endorsement texts when issuing tickets due to involuntary changes, especially when reroute involves OAL. Follow below guidelines when updating endorsement texts.

For EK-EK Reissue:

• Update the text as “INVOL”

For EK codeshare - EK Prime Reissue:

• Update the text as “INVOL”

For EK-OAL/EK Codeshare Reissue

Update the text as “INVOL” when the date of re-issue of the new ticket is 2 days or less than the scheduled departure date of the first coupon of the new ticket if the reason for re-issue is flight disruption

Example:

• Routing in new ticket: DXB SG IXE
• Date of re-issue: 15-SEP-21
• Flight date DXB to BOM: 17-SEP-21
• Endorsement on ticket: “INVOL”

Update the text as “SKCHG” when the date of re-issue of the new ticket is more than 2 days from the scheduled departure date of the first coupon of the new ticket

• Example:
• Routing in new ticket: DXB SG IXE
• Date of re-issue: 15-SEP-21
• Flight date DXB to BOM: 19-SEP-21
• Endorsement on ticket: “SKCHG”

No other remarks should be entered in the ‘ENDO’ box
